A Celebration: Chinese New Year
Posted by Duncan McCabe on 18th Feb 2022
As florists, we are intrinsically connected to the season, and nowhere is more evident than our work creating flowers in a corporate setting. We have a talented team of imaginative florists that deliver the wow factor of hotels, bars, offices and restaurants weekly. Each week they conjure up a different theme and change the mood of the setting with a delightful selection of flowers that have been carefully picked to chime with the day with themes designed to welcome a new flower into the season or themes to celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show and even events like Wimbledon.
Our displays are often topical reminders of the time of year, and we often chime with seasonal reminders of traditional days of celebration and cultural and community moments.
Our team designed a delightful welcome to the Chinese new year with bold and impactful displays befitting the year of the tiger. We spoke to our contracts manager, Sophie, about creating flowers for the Chinese New Year.
"The time seems to fly when you are a florist, Christmas does seem that long ago! We are so happy that more and more of our contract clients are requesting flowers again after a pause dues to the restrictions. So it was terrific that so many of our customers decided to celebrate the Chinese New Year in style. I wanted a powerful statement to signify the tear of the tiger. I used vivid anthurium as a central flower with quince blossom, pussy willow and gold bamboo for a gorgeous landscape"
