A summer Wedding at Syon House

Here at Moyses Stevens we enjoy creating event flowers and weddings are no exception. Flowers play an important part in any wedding day, seamlessly encapsulating the romantic look and feel and bringing the couples' vision to life.

In June, on one of the brightest and hottest days of the year, we had the honour of doing the wedding flowers for one of our very own talented florists, Annie. Annie began her journey with us eight years ago, starting out in our Chelsea shop and now oversees all six of our London stores.

The wedding was set within Syon Park, one of London's last standing great houses. With over 400 years of history, grand classic interiors and beautifully landscaped gardens, it is clear why this was the chosen location for the special day. Holding the wedding in such an elegant and opulent setting, it was integral that the flowers reflected this in a complementary way. The vision was ‘summer elegance’ using Annie’s favourite seasonal flowers and colour palette.

The ceremony was held in the magnificent Great Hall where our florists used an abundance of Delphiniums and Roses to achieve a soft and romantic feel in hues of warm lilacs and clean whites. The day continued on through to The Great Conservatory where the reception was held. The table pieces took centerstage (second to the bride of course) under natural lighting. The colours and feel were cleverly carried through from the Great Hall using Hydrangeas, Roses, Lisianthus and Eucalyptus, inspiring an idyllic garden-fresh look.
