We are delighted to announce a very special workshop of flowers and afternoon tea at InterContinental London Park Lane on the 18th November. Add a royal touch to your creativity when you design your own beautiful bouquets at our exclusive flowers school event followed by an indulgent Royal Afternoon Tea, all in the heart of Mayfair at Number One Park Lane. The Hotels royal connection is unique, since InterContinental London Park Lane stands on the site of Her Majesty The Queen’s early childhood home.
Our tutors will introduce you to the wonderful world of floral design and whether you are a beginner or something of an expert you can craft your bouquet from the best loved colours and flowers of our favourite Royals focusing on the Duchess of Cambridge: the colour pink; Sweet Williams, Stocks, Myrtle.
The class will include tips on flower care and conditioning followed by a step-by-step demonstration of how to create the perfect hand-tied bouquet. Guests will be guided through the process by our experienced talented tutor. Your bouquet will be beautifully wrapped for you to take home and enjoy after a memorable afternoon tea at one of our favourite hotels.
From the world of flowers, you continue in royal style to the Wellington Lounge to enjoy our Royal Afternoon Tea which celebrates the longest reigning monarch in the world, Her Majesty The Queen.
The delicious menu blends together delightful contemporary touches and traditional elegant style with an array of fine finger sandwiches, light, buttery scones and delicate, melt in the mouth cakes and pastries; and, if you wish to put some fizz into the afternoon, add a tantalising glass of Champagne from one of the oldest Champagne houses, R de Ruinart.
With floor to ceiling windows, contemporary design and plenty of soft comforts, The Wellington Lounge is the ideal space to take time out for a peaceful royal inspired afternoon tea whilst the buzz of London carries on in full view outside.
