Autumn is a wonderful time of year with a beautiful array of colourful flowers and so many varieties to choose from. It's a special time of year for anyone who works with nature and a firm favourite for our Moyses Stevens Flower School tutors.
Autumn is a distinctive season that brings summer shades of candy pinks, lilacs and blues to an end. The seasons seamlessly transition to a new palette of colour as the leaves begin to tumble from the trees, we reach for warm scarves, and our thoughts turn to the delicious delights of pumpkin latte.
Autumn is in full swing across all our departments with amazing dahlias, autumnal shades of hydrangea, classic chrysanthemum blooms, and not forgetting the berries and foliage synonymous with this time of year.
We have an exciting program of classes planned for autumn, with two courses dedicated to celebrating the season.
Taste of autumn is, as the name might suggest, an introduction to the unique flowers of the season. In this class, students will create a beautiful autumnal hand-tied bouquet guided by our talented tutors. Our tutors bring their experience and expertise with demonstrations, step-by-step demonstrations and lots of support.
In this class, you will learn the basics of conditioning and care. You will learn how to make the most of your flowers and how to help your flowers last longer.
For a more in-depth look at the season, we have a whole day's workshop immersed in some of our favourite autumnal flowers. In this class, students will focus on creating a beautiful hand-tied bouquet in the morning, followed by a classic autumnal vase in the afternoon.
The perfect opportunity to enjoy a wonderful day to learn a new skill and explore Europe's most extensive regeneration development with the Battersea power station and entertainment amenities next to our school!
