Flower care guide
How to care for cut flowers
Every flower we send has different needs. A peony drinks heavily and opens dramatically; a tulip keeps growing in the vase; a hydrangea drinks through the bloom as well as the stem. The right care is rarely complicated — it just has to be the right care for the flower.
The principles are simple. Re-cut the stems at a sharp angle on arrival. Use a clean vase and cool fresh water. Keep the bouquet out of direct sun and away from radiators — heat is the single biggest shortener of vase life. Refresh the water every two or three days, and re-cut the stems each time you do. After that, the variations are stem-specific.
Every order is covered by our Stem freshness promise — if anything is not right, get in touch and we will sort it. The guides below cover the stems you are most likely to receive in a Moyses Stevens bouquet. Browse by flower, or land on a page from a search and we will meet you where you are.
